OPENS 2011

Essence Young, an extremely educated and professional black woman, is getting married today. With two master degrees in tow, she presides over the number one urban radio station in the city, and with all of her grandeur, beauty and sophistication, has decided the wedding must be just as majestic. Today, Essence Young becomes a first-time bride.

The groom, Ricky James, is an attractive specimen as well, who truly loves his mate, maybe even a tad more than her love shines for him, but make no mistake about it, Essence is deeply in-love with this man, whom by the way, is fifteen years younger. Now before you go into shock, think about how interesting it is watching a lady crown herself, to her girlfriends, as a Cougar, but it becomes more than interesting, when that cougar turns into a barracuda, especially when Essence refuses to let a man, be a man!

Okay, we’ve all heard it, over and over again; "When a woman is fed-up, there is nothing on earth a man can do to change her mind!"

But what about a man; don’t men get "fed-up" too? However, Ricky should be well-aware; a scorned woman is very, very dangerous, and even more so, when Essence can’t stop loving him! That’s when a loving relationship, and yes, even a marriage, this marriage, will turn ugly; real ugly!

Much of this stage play’s performance takes place directly in the aisles of the audience; yes even the gorgeous wedding. And later, the production will dazzle some unaware audience members, making them a part of the show; creating non-stop laughter.

Its fun and most of all, it’s hysterical! Get ready for an evening of wild entertainment.

It’s Shelly Garrett’s "I CAN’T STOP LOVING YOU!" Another thrilling and dynamic stage play from the Godfather of Black Theatre, and one you will never, ever forget!
